Turn your land into a place where respect and revenue coexist.
Hooksetr gives you a clear, structured way to earn income from your trout water without losing control or taking on unnecessary risk.
Step 1
Set the
precedent.
You call the shots, so every visit flows the way you intend.
It starts with you deciding when access is allowed, how many anglers are welcome, and what it costs. Clarifying where anglers should park and how they should access the water. And identifying which stretches are open and what’s off-limits.
Step 2
Lean on us for protection.
We handle everything that keeps access safe, predictable, and respectful.
Protection means waivers, vetted anglers, structured approvals, and platform-level safeguards, so there’s never a surprise on your land. Access only happens after your approval, never by browsing a map. We handle booking logistics, enforce conduct standards, set clear emergency and safety expectations, plus manage all communication. If an angler ever violates your rules, they lose access permanently. And if anything ever feels off, you’ll hear from John directly.
Step 3
Grant responsible access.
Anglers enjoy your water while respecting your rules and boundaries.
They arrive with clear parking instructions, leave-no-trace expectations, and an access credential they can present if asked. We handle all communication so you never have to manage anglers directly, unless you prefer to. Visits are quiet, controlled, and held to high standards so your land is always treated the way it deserves to be.
If you want to earn without the headaches, the next step is simple.
FAQs
-
No. Your property is never displayed publicly, mapped, or pinned. Anglers can express interest in general areas, but exact directions are shared only after you approve a request.
-
No. Every booking requires your approval. No browsing, no guessing, no surprises.
-
Hooksetr reduces uncertainty by providing structure, waivers, vetted anglers, and clear expectations.
-
Every angler signs a required waiver, and platform-level protections cover both landowners and anglers once bookings begin. You don’t need to carry your own insurance or rely on informal access or handshake agreements. Full details are shared directly with participating landowners.
-
You do not need to greet, supervise, or interact with anglers unless you want to. Anglers are held accountable to follow your rules, respect your boundaries, and present a credential if requested.
-
Absolutely. You can approve or decline requests for any reason or no reason at all. Nothing happens without your permission. The only bookings that happen are the ones that feel right for your property.
-
Yes. You can privately note whether the angler followed your rules, respected your property, and left the stream the way they found it. Your feedback contributes to their Creek Cred, Hooksetr’s stewardship scoring system, which helps other landowners make informed approval decisions. In any case where an angler disregards your rules or disrespects your property, their access is permanently removed. They will not be allowed to book again.
-
Only as often as you allow, whether that’s a few times a year, per month, or none at all.
-
Yes. You can pause or stop access at any time.
-
We made public benefit part of our DNA from day one because this structure legally requires us to balance profit with public good, prioritizing long-term stewardship over short-term gains. We’re committed to protecting private land, strengthening Pennsylvania’s coldwater resources, and supporting the local communities where our landowners live. This means you’re working with a company built to earn your trust and safeguard your water for years to come.
-
Nothing is listed publicly, mapped, or advertised. Only approved anglers receive directions, and they follow your defined access path so neighbors aren’t disrupted.
-
If your stream crosses more than one parcel, we can treat it as a single access area. You decide which sections are available, which boundaries matter, and how access should work across your land. If you have additional properties elsewhere in the county or the state, we can review each one during our conversation to see if they’re a fit for Hooksetr.
-
You set the rate and the schedule. What anglers are willing to pay depends on access, ease of parking, and the quality of the angling experience.
-
There is no cost to join the Hooksetr Stream Team, and no upfront cost during the pilot. A 10% support fee applies only when an approved booking occurs, helping maintain the platform and landowner services.
-
For the pilot, we’re focusing on privately owned Class A trout water in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania.
-
Anglers do not rate landowners, nor do they judge the property or natural conditions such as water levels, clarity, or weather. They only confirm whether your directions were clear and whether they had the information needed to access your stream safely. This helps reduce confusion and improves clarity for future bookings. Your land, rules, and privacy are never reviewed or publicly displayed.
